Payment providers may process payment-card or bank information directly; Citivel does not need to store full payment-card numbers when a third-party processor handles the transaction.
• Website and device information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and similar technical or usage information.
• Cookies and similar technologies: information used to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website performance, and measure traffic.

5. Client Data Processed During Software Projects

In some projects, Citivel may receive access to personal information contained in a client's systems, databases, applications, logs, or development environments. When Citivel processes that information solely on behalf of a client and under the client's instructions, the client determines the purposes and means of the processing and Citivel acts as a service provider or processor, as those terms may be defined by applicable privacy law.

In that situation, the client's privacy notice and the applicable project agreement or data processing agreement govern the client's collection and use of the data. Citivel uses client data only as necessary to perform the contracted services, follow documented client instructions, maintain security, and meet applicable legal obligations.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose relevant personal information to the following categories:

• Technology and infrastructure providers that support hosting, cloud infrastructure, email, collaboration, project management, logging, monitoring, or security.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not use personal information collected through this website for targeted advertising across unrelated websites or services.

Our website does not currently respond to legacy "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no uniform standard for interpreting those signals. Because Citivel does not sell personal information or use website personal information for targeted advertising as described above, opt-out preference signals do not change those practices. Client data processed on behalf of a client is retained, returned, or deleted in accordance with the applicable project agreement, client instructions, and legal requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. The specific safeguards used may vary based on the sensitivity of the information and the systems involved.

No internet transmission, cloud service, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Clients should avoid sending production credentials or sensitive data through unsecured channels and should follow the secure access methods agreed for a project.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, the nature of your interaction with Citivel, and whether an applicable privacy law covers Citivel's processing, you may have rights concerning your personal data. These may include the right to:

• confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data;
• correct inaccuracies;
• request deletion;

• opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling where applicable; and
